Unpopular opinion: Cut your red meat intake to live longer & help the planet
Yeah, I know there aren't many things tastier than a good burger, ribs or steak. And no one is saying never having red meat again, so don't panic.
We are saying that the healthiest diets available E.g. Blue Zone, Mediterranean etc. all have low or no red meat in common. The Blue Zones regularly have people healthily living to over 100.
Why?
People who eat more red meat tend to die earlier and die from Cardiovascular disease and cancer. Which sounds rubbish.
What to do?
The toughest part of any change is mental. So rather than cutting meat out of your diet, switch from red meat to poultry or fish.
Easy. No pouting. Now dry your eyes and go live forever!
